How to Use Instagram Reels to Market Your Company

Instagram is a great way to market your company, and it has more and more features that your business can benefit from. In 2023 Reels are taking the spotlight and are a unique way to engage with your audience that stands out from the crowd. We’ll show you how creating Instagram video reels is a great way to boost engagement on your account and showcase your unique brand.

What is an Instagram Reel?

Instagram Reels are a way to share photos and videos in a short-form video package. They can be used to showcase behind-the-scenes footage, products, or just give your followers something new and interesting to see.

With an Instagram Reel, you can upload up to 15 photos and videos that will play in sequence for your followers as if they were watching a movie trailer or commercial! You can also add music and text onto the video to make it even more engaging.

Add your content.

You can record a video with your phone and upload it to Instagram from there, or you can add pre-saved clips. You can even pull photos or videos from your existing social media platforms. For example, if you have videos or pictures already posted on Facebook or YouTube, you can use these as part of your reel. Ensure the quality is high enough for an Instagram audience – we recommend standard definition (SD) at a minimum when creating your content for our platform. You can add and edit your photos and videos into the reel right in the Instagram app, or you can use a video editing app like iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, or Final Cut Pro X to make your reel. 

Time to add music!

Adding the perfect audio is the icing on the cake to your reel; make sure it fits the tempo and adds interest to the reel. If you are creating your video in an editor like Premiere Pro, you will want to source music from a copyright-free source, or you can add the audio to the Instagram app. Bonus Tip! Look for trending audio that fits your reel. Using trending audio can help give it a boost and be found by more people. You can also add text and captions to the video, so it’s easier for people to read what you’re saying and accessible to all.  

Don’t forget about the caption.

A great caption that calls your viewer to action or educates them about your business is vital to the success of your reel. Try using an eye-catching hook at the top of the caption to intrigue the viewer to click and read more. Whether you are driving the viewer to learn more about your services, educate them on an industry topic, or driving them to click the link in your bio, the caption is a great place to add value to your reel.
